Christmas in Phnom Penh (and what it was like).

This blog is way overdue because right after we left Cambodia (26th) we had no internet for a week! The reason for that is because we were staying in the Bornean jungle (but I will get to that in my next post) and      that means that I couldn’t update this blog this whole time.

For the day before Christmas Eve, we stayed at this awesome hotel that had a pool table! I LOVE pool! And there was a chess board! I also LOVE chess! It also had an awesome room that overlooked the city, an infinity pool, and a super soft carpet (plus free cookies)! That was really fun!

Anyway, Christmas in Phnom Penh was pretty cool! I got a good amount of presents, including the following: pink Himalayan salt, a Lamborghini hot wheels car, a LEGO car, bee stickers, candy, a Roman gladiator t-shirt, a replica of a Roman coin, a Gladiator book, Meditations (the book by: Marcus Aurelius), breath mints, tic-tacs, honey, and a leather elephant poster thingy. Nice Christmas, right?

That’s all. But keep on the look-out for my next blog (Borneo) in the next few days.

F.Y.I look for the first picture of the New Year.

  3. WOW! That looks like an awesome Christmas! It must have been nice to have a bit of luxury, what with the pool table and infinity pool. I might be totally making this up, but that picture captioned "Us travelling on the 26th" reminds me of this picture of your mom in the DR on a bus, I think before you were born or right after. Again, my mind could be making it up but for some reason I remember that. Spitting image! For Christmas, I got Shelbie a pair of hiking sandals for Vietnam, and my boyfriend Adam got me a trip to go bungee jumping! We haven't done it yet, but it's safe to say I'll be about as terrified as you were at the giraffe center. We are counting down the days until we meet up with you in Vietnam!! We have lots of playing cards, but I don't think we have poker chips. We would love to learn Poker and Gin Rummy, we will teach you Casino and Oh P'shaw (My favorite game).

  4. Hello, Christmas in Phnom Penh was pretty cool. The skyline pool and pool table were my favorite part of the hotel! Not to make you super afraid or anything, but you should be terrified. Bungee jumping is literally falling off a cliff on purpose attached to a rubber band so right before you go Ka-splat on the rocks at 100 mph you get yanked up into the sky at high speeds and then do it all over again. But dismiss my words from your head when you jump off a 700 foot cliff. I am exited learn the card game that you’re talking about. Right now my parents are getting tickets to Thailand because they can’t bear staying in Borneo for 5 more days to wait until our flight to Vietnam. We just booked tickets out of here that are leaving at 4pm. We will still see you guys in Vietnam ( you guys are the ones that are holding us together and making it so we don’t book tickets to Florida right now). Exited to see y’all in Vietnam. SilaG
